A Poker Religion

How is poker religion? I don’t know about you, but only attend one church: the Church of Texas Holdem. I worship there daily and when the collection plate is passed around, it’s me who gathers up the donations.

If you want to find out how to play poker better, the first thing to do is treat your poker like a religion. The poker religion is no easier or more difficult than any other form of worship. It has rules and laws, rewards persistence and strict observance and will welcome you back into the fold anytime you’re ready to return from the wilderness and learn how to play poker to WIN.

Worship regularly

Just as your boss asks you to be at the office by a certain time each day, because he knows you’ll be there to answer the phone, write emails or whatever else it is that people do in offices these days, the god of poker wants you to be there every day too. Try to create a schedule for your poker play and stick to it.

Obviously this does not apply to those androids who play 19 hours per day and seldom sleep! The rest of us have lives outside of poker and must make our poker religion fit in with all our other activities. You’ll find friends and family are far more understanding if they know in advance that you play every day from noon to seven.

Religious observance

So the next question arises: How to play poker religiously? It seems simple, but you must learn to trust the poker gods. Yes, your big pairs WILL be busted by sets. You WILL be flushed out on the river and you WILL endure horrible days (or weeks, or months) when seemingly nothing goes your way. It’s tempting during such torrid runs to turn your back on the poker religion and do whatever you have to to retain your sanity. But you’ll find, looking back, that all this achieves is heartache.

I won’t judge any other religions, but the poker religion frowns on those who stray from the path of light and truth. The penalty is not eternal damnation, but bankroll retraction. Learn how to play poker to win and stick to what works and in the long run, you’ll always be ahead.

Study the poker scriptures

There is a wealth of brilliant poker writing out there. I won’t be able to advise you on what style suits you best: are you a Gus Hansen or a Dan Harrington? The truth for most of us is somewhere between these two extremes of style. Those following my poker religion will learn that prudence is often best, but sometimes you have to be a little crazy.

I prefer to be serious about my poker, but not boring in writing style. Some poker writers are dry as dust and you’ll fall asleep halfway through the first chapter. Others are genius players but unable to communicate their ideas well enough.

If any of this rings true with you, perhaps it’s time to learn how to play poker to win by following my poker religion. The Church of Texas Holdem is open all hours and we’re always happy to have new followers. We hope you join us very soon! Good luck at the tables.

Frequency Filters And Pick 3 Lottery and Pick 4 Lottery Games

If you are a Pick 3 lottery or Pick 4 lottery player, have you noticed how helpful your local State Lottery Official Websites have become by offering free information to help players find winning numbers? Some Official State Lottery sites are offering software capabilities to allow players find lucky lottery numbers to play. A recent web surfing adventure took me to the Official Delaware Lottery Website. This lottery website offers lottery players an ongoing updated frequency list of Pick 3 digits and Pick 4 digits that have been drawn. This frequency list is updated automatically after each drawing. The frequency filter based on the history of all drawn lottery numbers in each lottery game indicates to the players which of the ten digits – 0 to 9 – have been drawn the most times and the least times, and ranks all ten digits from most drawn to least drawn by actual number of drawings and the related percentages.

This frequency filter is used by Pick 3 systems and Pick 4 systems, particularly in software programs, to assist lottery players to produce the most effective list of potential numbers to play and win. By knowing that certain digits are drawn more than others lead to the belief that these more potent digits will increase one’s chances to win by playing these better performing digits. Mathematicians using the typical bell curve analysis suggest that in time all numbers, except in the case a technical bias created with a particular drawing system, should be drawn an equal amount of times. Generally, the overall number spread in random drawings is very small in the big picture of total draws. What is the real significance of the percentage of.003663 between the most drawn digit and the least drawn digit as in the case of the Delaware Play 3 game based on 186/50,778 drawings? It is similar to an 80 year old man saying to a 35 year old man, “In the history of mankind, we are about the same age.” The actual percentage by count is 10.1816% for the most drawn digit and 9.8153% for the least drawn digit.

Can a barely noticeable blip on the radar screen of positive numbers really make any real significance for the lottery player in choosing to play one digit over another? The Delaware Play 4 frequency chart wasn’t much different. It produced a.003246 difference between the most drawn digit and the least drawn digit out of a total number of 61,300 drawings. Based on this presented data found on the Official Delaware State Lottery website, are the resultant percentage differences of the digits significant enough to create a real choice for lottery players? Can frequency charts in general make any difference at all when using the total number of drawings from day one of the particular lottery game, either Pick 3 lottery or Pick 4 lottery, when the difference is reduced as low as three one thousandth of a percent of the total drawings?

Like looking for a needle in a haystack, splitting hairs as thin as these numbers suggest, choosing one digit over another, particularly in the middle range of the bell curve, makes it even more of an impossible task for even the most dedicated and committed lottery players who are willing to spend time in their research to find the next winning Pick 3 number or Pick 4 number to play.

Las Vegas "Whales"

What Las Vegas jargon names “whales” is in fact the creme of the high rollers species. They are a handful of people that in some opinions don’t exceed 500 individuals in the world. Las Vegas hoteliers are nuts about them; some claim four or five of those whales bet much more than the rest of the thousands customers they receive daily. No wonder they are suspected of going as far as selling their first born child to get one of those whales into their gaming area.

Five tips to recognise a whale

* the size of the bet: $50,000 is the low end; Australian tycoon Kerry Packer likes to play seven blackjack hands at one time; his top bet was $375,000;

* the line of credit: 4 to 5 million dollars for one weekend; a fortune for us ordinary earthlings, pocket money for a “whale”;

* the treat: whales get all the freebies from the hotel they play: fine dining, luxury accommodations, private jet transportation, expensive gifts… often the US visa for the Asian high rollers;

* the escort: it usually includes bodyguards, beautiful gals and close friends; Las Vegas history saved for the record a legendary tale in which the Saudi Prince Adnan Khashoggi dropped for a bet at Stardust with an entourage of a dozen people;

* the generosity: whether they win or loose, everybody’s happy as long as they play; “whales” don’t spare tips & gifts.

While the “whales” number just a few hundreds in the world, the amounts they can afford to lose are purely impressive; that is why hoteliers pay specially trained staff for “whales hunting”. The Asians form a big part of this exclusivist market, about 80 %. The bottom line is to keep them coming in, at the same rate, after nine eleven.

Unfortunately, Las Vegas seems to be experiencing a decrease in whale strands these days. One reason, that all hoteliers agree about, is they don’t get as much privacy in Las Vegas casinos as they would normally get in other gaming destinations of the world. While hotel owners in Las Vegas await their VIP saloons approved, the “whales” gamble in Macau, Monaco or Australia.

Winning Lotto Strategies Review – Are These Lotto Strategies Scams?

Are there really lottery strategies that can provide an edge to players? I must say that I never saw the game of lotto that way until I started hearing about some winners claiming that they had a systematic way of picking their numbers. Being curious to explore this further, I eventually purchased a guide online called Winning Lotto Strategies.

The author claims to have cracked a number selection system that has helped produced more lottery winners on a consistent basis. It sounded really exciting to me and made me want to look into it further.

1. Some Facts about Lotto Winnings

After reading the guide, I began to learn that the consistent lottery winners had a systematic way of selecting their numbers based on facts and percentages. For example, it is said that about 20% of lottery players pick their own numbers whereas the other 80% use the quick pick.

But the percentage of winners are not split in the same percentage. There are roughly about the same number of winners in the group who pick their own numbers as there are in the group who use quick pick. This statistic shows that the people who are using a system to pick their numbers have a much better chance of winning.

2. How to Use The Winning Lotto Strategies Guide to Increase Your Chances of Winning

Inside the guide, you will learn the history of how numbers have been drawn in the game of lottery, and how you can use some of these number patterns to maximize your chances of winning the big prize. After using the number system in the guide myself for a few months, I have not hit the big prize but I have had winnings of close to $10,000 once.

It certainly seems to make a lot of sense to follow the facts and a system when playing the lotto. I would encourage you to learn more about the number system instead of picking numbers randomly if you want to give yourselves a better chance of winning.
